Such an interesting book, but now I can't find it! Help?

Such an interesting book, but now I can't find it! Help?

Hello all, I don't mean to intrude on your forum, but I am hoping someone here can help me.
I have been looking high and low for a copy of a book that I read awhile ago, but can't remember the title.

The plot follows two characters, one dead and one living. The concept is that when you die you go on to this other city and stay there untill the last person who remembers you dies also, only then do you move on to whatever is next.
The chapters alternate points of views: A living womans, she is stranded in the arctic and has escaped a plague that in the end wipes out humanity. Then a dead man's life in said city.

Does this sound familiar? I don't even know how to find it, I don't have an author or a title so it may be lost to me forever. I hope it rings a bell with anyone.

Looks like you're out of luck..I would really like that book too, I love the story and I'm curious about the ending and it looks like you've got a companion.
