You can make a difference!

Hey,

I just joined the site! It's funny I hated reading when I was in school, but now I love it. I guess that's the way it goes for some people. Anyway, I was looking for new books to read, but I can't find anything. I was looking for some suggestions from other folks.

The kind of books I'm looking for are books like: "The Thirteenth Tale", "The Ghost Writer", or "The Séance"

I’m looking for something that has a Victorian like setting. Maybe like a ghost story feel to it. Something with family secrets or just secrets in general and interesting characters. If you read any of those books you know what I'm talking about.

If you could suggest any books that are similar to those three books, please, let me know. I really want to read something again.

I'm still looking for some good reads. Anything along the line of what I mentioned or even anything that really caught YOUR attention and you wish everyone would read.

Please, let me know. I'm really wanting to read something again.

I haven't read the books you listed, so this may not be the sort of thing you like at all, but the first thing that came to mind for me was The Explosionist by Jenny Davidson. It's set in the 1930s (I think) and has séances, ghosts, and secrets, though it's more of a young adult book.
