Question on "Fuzzy" Children's Book from 1990s...

About sixteen years ago I recieved a book for Christmas that became my favorite book. I carried it with me all the time, up untill the day my mom threw it in the wash and ruined it. Sixteen years later, I have tried endlessly to look for the book and have not been able to, so I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I think it was a children's book on rabbits, but the best thing about the book was that it had a fuzzy cover. I googled "fuzzy rabbit book" and it came up with "Fuzzy Rabbit" by Rosemary Billam. Anywho I'm not sure if this is the book, but if you had any idea of what it could be, please let me know. Thanks!

The Velveteen Rabbit? It's an old book, but maybe it was a reprint?
