Best book ever?

I'm just wondering, what's the best book you've ever read in your life?

East of Eden, by John Steinbeck

It is one of the few books that I can remember almost all of the main and side characters names, and the sequence of events, over two years after reading it.

Timshel :P

A book of light depth, if such a thing can be said.

Lord of the Flies by Golding. I remember every moment in the book. You can't even imagine my impressions after i read the book. It was terrific. It was worth to get the Nobel prize for it! :D
