I don't fancy going to the library. For me going to the library is like a waste of time, because what am I going there to do exactly. I will just end up getting distracted.

I think libraries are essential so that anyone can have access to books, irrespective of income. They are also a quiet space for students who live in overcrowded homes.

I think it will remain relevant because not everyone has access to buy books. Also, in the future, I believe libraries can add value by providing special or comfortable places for reading and learning. So, libraries could evolve into something like co-working spaces.

It’s not just about books; libraries have evolved into community hubs where people can access resources, attend events, and participate in programs. I often volunteer at my local library, and I also attend the paid author talks, workshops, and community events, for free! They’re not just places to borrow books but also to learn, connect, and grow. To keep them relevant, I think libraries should continue evolving by embracing digital resources while enhancing their role as community centers.

The world has changed and I think that the libraries have been pushed to the periphery of the society If you ask kids nowadays where a library is based, you will be surprised by the answers you get.Modern day libraries are now found within a phone

They absolutely are! I love the library, my budget would not allow me to buy books are the rare I read them. My children love going to the library and picking out books and playing and doing crafts. Our local library has wonderful weekly events and activities for kids that we frequent

Yes very relevant. Though this is weird, I spend more time in libraries that are built creatively than ones that are less creative and have many old books

I adore visiting my library! It’s an easy way for me to fall into reading a book I may not have come across otherwise. One of my favorite sections at the library is where the librarians set out their own recommendations. Visiting the library is usually a really peaceful and grounding experience for me. I also love the technology sections some libraries have, ranging from infrared cameras to 3D printers. Libraries have always been a way for me to connect with my community and feel a part of something larger than myself. Growing up I volunteered at my local library and would spend many hours studying and reading there. Without a library, my family would not have been able to keep up with my appetite for reading. I think libraries are this powerful too that can teach people of all ages, that there are just so many worlds to explore within the pages of a book, and so much knowledge at your fingertips.

Yes, libraries are relevant today and I do hope they stay. They offer much more than reading materials, They are one of the first places that newcomers get information to help them in settling in. They are a great place to meet friends, have group meetings and study. They are a source of community news. They offer various courses such as computing for beginners, needlework and other crafts. Libraries have evolved and are up to date with technology. They offer not only traditional hardcover and paperback books and magazines but, also, online content such as eBooks and magazines.

I hope libraries will always be relevant! I visit mine often as well as utilize their website and e-reader app. I prefer physical books over eBooks but am trying to maintain a minimalist lifestyle and do not want to continually add books to my collection. The library is a perfect solution. I also take advantage of the various programs and activities they offer for both myself, and for things to do with the grandkids.

In this modern day, physical libraries are increasingly becoming irrelevant as more and more people can access many libraries online , sometimes for free and other times at a much affordable cost, just from the comfort of their home

Absolutely! I participate in a monthly book club at my local library. I also take my daughter there weekly for Nursery Rhyme Time, so she can engage with other babies, listen to books, and sing along to songs. The library is such an asset to this community!! I hope everyone is able to support their local library, especially during this dire time.
