I've always been a reader. I learned how to read at 3 years old and never stopped! In the 4th grade, I read Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Frankenstein, and Bram Stoker's Dracula. I was afraid of horror movies, but not horror novels. Lol. I love suspense novels the most, which I think grew from reading the "Choose Your Own Adventure" books as a kid.

Yes! I grew up with a single mother and money was tight. So while other kids watched tv, I had a library card. I loved being able to imagine experiences and adventures through books. I was also taught through reading anything can be accomplished. I love reading still just as much!

I was always a reader, thanks in large part, to my mother. She always bought my sister and I books from thrift stores and yard sales in bulk. In school when they would send around the book flyer she would let me pick out so much money's worth and I was always so excited for them to come and I think the anticipation combined with great elementary teachers sparked the flame that still burns today!

I never enjoyed reading when I was little or learning how to read in general. I started to love reading after finishing the captain underpants series. Soon after that I began reading Junie B Jones!! I don't know what kid didn't read that or magic tree house!! Those were honestly the best!!

I definitely know that I was not born a reader. Not at all. I acquired my love for books from my big brother and eventually went on to author a book before him. Now how's that for personal growth? : :D

I honestly don't remember reading that much during elementary school (that's probably bad, right?). I was in high school before my love of reading really became apparent. James Patterson will always be a love of mine because it was his books that started me reading constantly.

Unfortunately no, I actually did not start reading until a later age, But now I am making up for lost time! The first series I read myself were the Harry Potter books when I was 11, hence why they are so near and dear to my heart. I now love reading, and I can't get enough!

My mum got me into book when I was little. I like how you could lose yourself in them. I still treasure the books she used to read to me :). Even though my life has become more hectic as I've grown up and started working, I'll always find the time for reading

I have always been a reader as far back as I can think of. When i was a kid I would read r.l. stine books a lot. Then i started reading stephen king books. Then eventually along came Harry Potter. I couldn't put those books down.
But I do get these moments where I'm really not in the mood to read so I have to take a break from it and do something else. When I do read I read a lot!

I taught myself to read when I was 4, and by the time I was 6 I was reading my 8 year old sister's books, which included things like The Babysitters' Club, etc. I was a bit of a pain in the ass as I even tried sneaking books into mass on a Sunday, and I would hide it inside the hymnal book until my parents caught me. I was obsessed. Which was lucky because my parents never had to worry about what I was up to, as long as I had a book I was quiet.

My mom credits my compulsion with constantly watching sing-a-long Disney movies and the subtitles always being on while I watched cartoons. :P

I started having a love for reading when I was in kindergarten! I am not sure what age I stopped reading but I never restarted until the end of high school. My sister would read a lot and I would always be interested but never really took an initiative. One day I randomly picked up one of her books and read the back of the cover and was instantly interested! I never put the book down until I finished it! And from there on, my passion for reading was reignited!

I have always loved to read. When I was little my mom would read books that she liked out loud to me. It certainly increased my vocabulary and gave me a love for books.
