I still go to the library to check out books but I also purchase some on Amazon, garage sales, and book stores.

Yes! Nothing beats a trip to the library, it's practically free therapy.

Absolutely! I'm there so often all the people at the front desk know me. I prefer reading physical copies of books, and I'd rather go to the library and read something for free than spend money on a book I don't know I'll like. I also like to go to my college's library to study.

Yes, it's a convenient way of finding new books without too much commitment, especially financial. I don't like the regret I feel if I spend money on a book that I end up hating. And if I end up liking the book enough to want a copy of my own, I can easily purchase it after having originally borrowed a copy from the library.

Occasionally yes, though it's been quite a while since I went to a library.

Not really. Most of the books that I want to read are hard to find at libraries. Also, I don't want to have to worry about late fees or return-by dates.

However, I do like to go to our public library when they have their used-book sales. I like to donate used books and also peruse what books they have for sale.

Yes, but not usually for myself. Usually we go to the library so the kids can pick out new books to try.

I almost solely use the library for my books! I love reading and I love cover art and the artistry of physical books, but I don’t have the space for them in my house or budget at the rate I read. I love going to the library and using it to find books I wouldn’t on my own.

No I don't. It isn't that I don't trust myself to take care of the books but rather I don't trust people around me to care for them.

Absolutely! I love visiting the library. Bookstores are magical because they showcase new books, but I love libraries because it is easier to find old books, and libraries feel so comforting. I also love that I get to return them and it's not like I'm adding to my belongings.

Nope, I buy mine. Luckily, my stepfather enjoys the same type of books, so I can always lend it to him after I'm finished (though he's a really slow reader, so I probably won't get it back for a few years). My Mom takes out about five library books in about a month, so she reads faster than either of us (I only read once a month when I'm doing the laundry, so probably only read about two books a year).

I still like going to the library. I can check out books that I might not otherwise read because I don't want to buy something I am completely unsure of. Our library does a big book sale once or twice a year and you can get books cheaper than a used book store. It is fun the walk through the aisles and see the new books and different offerings. I like to participate in the libraries monthly book club readings too.

Hi, my local library has used book sales too, about twice a year. They're fun to look and see what's there but I don't usually have much luck.

But, I still like to donate my unwanted books to them for the sale. I also like the smell of so many books in one place, lol. 📚

Physical libraries are good for book sales - Libby (the library app) can get you Kindles and audiobooks (as well as other options). I hardly visit the library in person anymore - but it's fun when you do go!
