This is me exactly. I used to keep a big fat novel in my purse wherever I went- it's so much easier now with a kindle or the kindle app on your phone. I HATE how the wait time is always way too long and boring at a doctor's office... and now I hardly notice it because I'm occupied with a story!

The last time I went to see my doctor, I got there 15 minutes before my appointment time, got checked in, waited in the lobby for about half an hour. Got called back, got my vitals checked by the nurse, and was asked to wait in the exam room. Doctor finally came in about an hour later, we talked, she went over my lab results, then had me wait while she went to consult another doctor. Another half hour of waiting, she comes back, gives me my script, and sends me on my way.
If it weren't for my kindle, I would have wen't stir crazy. With it, I got two hours worth of reading in.

If I know there will be a long wait then yes. But if the wait is short then I rather browse through a magazine because I hate being interrupted after only a few minutes of reading

At my doctor, typically your in the lobby for 45 minutes after your appointment was supposed to start, then your in the back room waiting for the nurse for 30 minutes. Then, after she sees you, you have another 45 minute wait until you see the doctor, whom, after all that, will come in, spend about two minutes with you, check a couple things, and write a prescription for whatever bull-crap medication the sexy 22-year-old pharmaceutical sales rep is pushing on him that week.
Typically, I can get halfway through a book while at the doctors
