I've recycled a couple - one because it had gotten rained upon and was in terrible shape. The other was bought at a library sale, and found to be missing a chunk of pages. Both times, I was very sad.

That reminds me of a joke to pull on someone. Ask them to give you a dollar bill and to name three things it reminds them of. A historical person, a dairy product and a famous book. They usually get the first one, George Washington but not the next two. You tear the bill in two and say thats half and half and throw it away and say thats Gone With The Wind. Watch their jaw drop.

I've thrown away advanced reading copies since you're not supposed to give them away or sell them. One memoir I ended up with was basically a guy's experience with masturbation. It was AWFUL. I thought I needed to wash my brain out with soap and I definitely did not want to share that feeling with anyone. There have been a few others like that - that I just couldn't recommend anyone waste their time with... otherwise, no. :)

I've only ever thrown away one book and that was because it was hiding in a corner in the basement and got some horrible nasty stuff on it :/ But other than that...I really tried to the revive any that get harmed in any way.

Yes, half and half is a type of cream that is used a lot in coffee, on cereal and strawberries, things like that. Im not sure exactly what it is, I think its half cream and half milk.

Youre welcome. Come to think of it, I dont think I have seen any for some time. Maybe they dont make half and half anymore.

yes just once though... the book was so poorly written and was pretty much falling apart that it wasn't worth the money to repair or give away

Nope. I'd give books away if I no longer want them, but if it's in a condition in which giving it away would not do it any good since it's ruined, then I guess I would consider throwing it away.

The only time I did that was when we had to move but weren't able to grab my books in time. We went back for hem and the new tenants had thrown them outside. It had also rained. They were all moldy, so I had to throw them away.
Goodbye, Harry Potter series, you will be missed.
