Could be the same as the one I mentioned. It's the one with a heroine with a pretty unconventional job in that era, right? I don't think there are that many historical romances with that titlehollirm wrote:I believe that I might have said 'Taboo', it may be a different book but it was a historical romance and was really good, I loved it. But, I usually like fantasy/paranormal/supernatural romance.

I'm the opposite. I read mostly paranormal but only recently have I been reading more contemporary. I believe the first contemporary novel I read would be J.R. Ward's 'The Player'. I think she wrote that one under the name 'Jessica Bird'. And then now I've read Kresley Cole's 'The Professional' and I enjoyed it a lot.Nova wrote:It depends on my mood. I generally stick to contemporary stories, when I can't find anything that strikes me in contemporary I'll explore a good Vampire or Werewolf romance and maybe twice a year I'll throw in a historical.

Languages never spoken.
Colors that should not be.
Lives never opened.
Eyes that never see.
And then the page is turned, a universe created.
We are gods.

Same for me! Thanks for the recommendation!lorenicole wrote:I love paranormal the most because it helps me escape my life when I need to since it is the furthest from "real". I love Laurell K Hamilton books. She is the author of the Anita Blake series someone previously mentioned but I tend to like her Meredith Gentry series the most.
