Bookstores and coffee make for a wonderful day!

I know. I read the post and made another pot of coffee. Now I need a new book!
The closest bookstore is over 35 minutes away. Not enough time for me to get there and back. That's it! I'm going to look for a new house.

Chuckle.. That is tempting to think about but I don't want to live in the city. Our bookstore is in the mall. Too many people for me and way too much noise!

I love being in bookstores. The knowledge that just surrounds you and vibrates through the air, it feels amazing. The smells of all the books intertwining and meeting together to travel to my brain dragging me to buy the perfect book. It's really a great feeling. I'd love to work in a bookstore but its hard to find places to work at.

When ever I am feeling down, I love to visit a bookstore or library. I might not get any books, but just being around all those books, I feel better. I think this might sound weird to most people, but I know everyone here understands.

I thought it was just me that found comfort in book stores! I travel and always find the nearest bookstore. I walk in and the stress rolls off my back. I don't have to buy anything but just being there, surrounded by books, is so relaxing. I think of them as a variation of a library and sometimes it bothers me that bookstores are treated with little respect (loud voices, screaming conversations, etc.) but I try to disregard all those negative thoughts. Love it when I find a old bookstore with collections of rare specimens, it is like a treasure hunt.

Even when I'm broke, going into a place where I'm surrounded by books always makes me feel better. I work on the Vegas strip, and some days are SO stressful I'll drive down to the Palazzo to visit Bauman's Rare Books. It's gorgeous, filled with amazing books of significant historical value and basically what my dream library would be. Just the atmosphere (especially surrounded by the insanity that is Vegas) is such an oasis to me.

Bookstores give me a great deal of comfort, if they're nice ones, well-lit, with chairs and plenty of space to move around in, so they're like a home library, instead of just a crowded shop.

I love being in a bookstore so much so that my friends have to make sure I don't see one or I'll literally spend hours there, looking for new books to read and end up spending money on books rather than on food so we end up eating at a budget place. Bookstores feel like home to me and I love having books all around so I spent lots of time in the libraries. No one is going to bug you or push you to buy something and you can linger around, discovering new books.

Who is not comfortable in a bookstore in this forum, not me. I love being in a bookstore and I love exploring new books, new authors, sometimes just touching the book I don't have. It inspires me being in. Everytime I get in to a bookstore I find myself in a different world. A different feeling which keeps me alive. I don't know about you but I feel that way.

Yes! Bookstores and libraries are like my second home. They're one of the first places of think of when 'going out' or what I want to do on a weekend off. Good thing they only have chairs or I'd bring my blanket and settle down!
