I mostly go to the library. I don't really like going to bookstores because I feel pressured to by something, even when I just wanna go in to see if they have anything I would consider buying. Also I don't really like buying new books, they're too expensive for me haha.

I go to the book store more often, I love knowing that the book is mine and I never have to give it back. That being said I also read a lot online as sometimes its just easier to get the book online, but nothing beats a real book in your hands!

I worked for Borders for many years - and yet, I still can't stand the thought of spending that much on a book that I don't know if I will like or not! The library is the place for me.

I go to the bookstore more often. Still hooked on the feeling of a bookstore. I do wish there were more, there use to be mom and pop book stores everywhere, in which you could loose yourself in and find-or be recommended- a unique, new to you book.
I am hoping this site will fill that need.

I go to the online bookstore almost daily. I go to the library about once a month, and I get to the physical bookstore about once every three months.

I go to the local bookstore at least once a month, and the local library once every two years. But I go to the school library probably once every two weeks
So many books to read, so little time..

I go to the library more, they have a used bookstore and a lot of times they have free books to give away!

I go to the library more often. If I go to the bookstore and I find a book that I want to read I then go find it at my library.

Library. But I wish my library were less like a bookstore.

They have many new and popular books, fewer older ones and classics. I like the fact that I can usually find and check out the latest bestseller ... but I don't like that if I want a classic it's not on the shelf. Often it can be ordered from another library in our city, which is free, only takes a few days, and I really appreciate. But in the case of kids' books, sometimes the classic isn't even anywhere in the system. Also, for research, I wish they had a winder variety of nonfiction history books. Sometimes you don't know what book you're looking for until you see it on the shelf.

If I'm looking for a very specific title and it's not in the library, I shop Amazon. I do like to get books in hard copy when possible.

We have an excellent used book store where I live but finding a parking place is an enormous problem there. There is another one that sells books at very reasonable prices but it is so far away that after factoring in the fuel costs to get there the deals are not so much deals anymore. I had a very accessible Borders near my home and a Barnes&Noble reasonably close but they have both gone the way of the dinosaur. So now I find myself in libraries more often. There is one on my way home from work which I use most often and there is another in my neighborhood but is in a very busy shopping area. I use the second one too but not as often as the first. Someone gave me their old Kindle and I also download free books from the Gutenberg website. And if all else fails I have a 3500 volume library at home - needless to say it is mostly unread.

I honestly go to the library more. I take my kids about twice a week to get bedtime stories and new children chapter books and I normally pick up graphic novels for me. But when it comes to my books I go to the bookstore. I love buying used.

I usually go to the library because in a library, we can read books for a little money. I we purchase the same, it will be very expensive and I also do not understand what I will be doing with all those books after I finish reading them.

This is such a tough question because I love them both. I use them both equally I think. We have a very beautiful library. I enjoy being there. I love the people and the atmosphere. However, we also have two big, beautiful bookstores that I absolutely love also. Usually when I go to the library, I go to the bookstore and still purchase a book; I don't know why but it's just my addiction I guess. I'd say its a tie for me.
