My hobby is reading. I love reading books on my phone and tablet, especially in my free time.

It can be both! Reading can be a skill and a hobby at the same time. Reading can be a learned ability through practice and instruction. Reading can also be used for enjoyment and leisure during your spare time.

It's both! Reading is such a valuable tool that can be used for learning new things. Even with fictional books, I walk away learning new words, or having had an experience through them which enriched my life. I think that in this way it is a skill. Reading for me is also a hobby because it is something that I reach out for and enjoy.
