I like buying used books. Where I live, the selection of bookstores is not that great. So, I get them online, and used if I can. Those books have some history, and also, it's better for the planet.

I buy all my books now from Amazon because they are compatible with my Kindle. Although I miss the experience of going to a book stall the convince to buy at any time, instant downloads, review feature and sample book feature make this a viable option for me as I often buy books at 11pm

I prefer to go to the bookstore and be surrounded by books, and get to see and touch the book I am about to buy. I love the atmosphere of it. And, I am super picky when it comes to my books. I look at them very carefully and make sure it looks perfect. I can't guarantee a book I order online will be to my ridiculous standards. And if I'm paying for it, I want it to be to my standards. And I have ordered books online that were not. Plus, I can stop by the bookstore anytime. I hate ordering it online and then having to wait for it to arrive. I like buying it from the store myself so much, that I do it, even knowing the online price is less.

I buy books on line because I get free shipping and a discount with a Barnes and Noble card. I usually do want to look through books before I buy them though. I'll browse the library and different stores and keep a list of the titles I want to buy. Sometimes I'll order a title sight unseen because it sounds exceptional, but very rarely.

It all depends. If it is author or subject that I know very well then yes, I prefer to buy them online. It just makes it easier. But if I am looking for something that is new to me I would rather go to the bookstore and do a hands on thing. Look through several books/authors and see what book fits my needs.

There's nothing better than walking into an old bookstore and browsing until you find a new book. However as great as that is, nothing beats the price and selection of buying online. I'll admit most of my books are bought online at Chapters Indigo, or sometimes Amazon. If there's a book sale in store though, I'm definitely there.

Sometimes a paperback is cheaper online than in a books store, but I generally go into a books store and purchase the book.

I buy books online if they are new releases I've been waiting for, or older, harder to find books. However, I do LOVE roaming around in dusty used books stores!

I like to buy book both ways. I probably buy more online because I read on my Kindle a lot.

I don't like to, as I like to support my local bookstore, but I do because they arrive quicker and it's just more convenient.

Yes completely! There are so many amazing book deals online. I have gotten boxes full of books for under $20 bucks and in wonderful condition.

I love both, buying online and buying at a bookstore.

I like doing either; sadly book shops around me are dwindling at a rapid rate so purchasing online is often the only option (still very glad there is that option though)
