I always just add them to the book collection on my shelf. I've never read a book more then once but if they were really good I want them just in case a plan to.

I love to reread a book and I will happily keep it on the shelf for later. I will also swap books with family members.

I used to travel every six months and the easiest thing to do was to give my books away to minimize my luggage but before that I used to collect them so I would have the pleasure of reading them again one day. I've settled down now so I intend on keeping each and everyone of them again unless a friend really needs to borrow or keep one; they can have it.
A Few months ago I found a William Shakespeare book with all his work... I intend to keep it for a lifetime and hopefully pass it on to future generations.

It's hard for me to get books from the library because I want to keep them. I also loan them out to people.

Set them on the shelf until next time or lend some to friends.

If I like the book, I keep it in my personal library section. If I don't, well, it depends.
There have been several cases in which I've returned books to my family's library section, from where I've taken them. If I've bought the book and it hasn't satisfied me, I usually do few things - offer it to a friend or family member, donate it to the public library, or let it dust somewhere until I find it a new owner. I've never thrown away a book. I just don't think that books belong in the garbage can, even if they suck.

If the book I just finished reading was a book that I owned, I would keep it. If I enjoyed the book, I would let one of my friend's borrow it.

I have library cases so I tend to keep every book I read. Makes a nice decoration to my library room. I still have some space for new books so haven't really given away. Just borrowed out a few.

The library I work at occasionally weeds through its collection and there is some rule (I cannot remember it off the topic of my head) that mandates that any books they get rid of have to be thrown away. The workers raid the dumpster the day after to save what books we can and then we donate them.

If it's a good book, I keep it somewhere where everybody can see it, kind of like a trophy, only, in such cases, it's more like a reminder that there ARE some books worth reading! Ha, ha! If I don't like the book... Let me tell you a story. There was this pile of wood, a wood chipper, and a huge puddle of water... Then there was a book I didn't like... Do you know what happened? I GAVE IT TO MY COUSIN!!!!!!!!!! So... Got it? :D

Unless it is a library book, I save all of the books that I have read. As you can imagine, my bookshelves, closet, and floor space get quite cluttered. I can not think of passing on one of my books to someone else. I hope to go back and read many, but others I make it a point to read at least once a year because I can pull something new from them. And of course, you can't just pass on a book in the series before the next book comes out. A great reader will re-read a book before its successor comes out just to get the characters fresh in their minds.

I have a few that I will reread, but I donate most of them. My mom and I like similar books so we do a lot of trading and there are very few that I end up keeping around the house forever.
