I have a lot of books in both covers, because paperbacks really easier and compact, so i take it with me in travels, university etc., but i have a large home library and it just consist hardcovered books. It's more precise to say that I collect them (the same publishing house, size...).

I like having my favorite books in hard cover, but paperback is a lot easier to handle. I also hate the book covers that they put on hard covers because I'm always afraid of wrecking it. :(

I have both in my collection, but I REALLY love a good hardcover. There is just something about a hardcover that creates a mood for me. Silly, I know....but it does.

Paperback for my el-cheapo romance novels and books I'm not sure I'll like (cheaper if i don't!) but hardcover for my classics and ones I like. Also, if I start a series with one or the other, I have to finish the same.

I typically buy my books when they come out in hardcover, but if I am buying a book that was released 1+ year ago, I just buy the paperback edition. Hardcovers are much better imo. Sure, paperbacks are cheaper, but the are easier to damage, and the cover gets curled, etc.

I'm a hardcover lover myself. There's just something substantial feeling about a hardcover book. I rarely purchase paperbacks as I usually re-read my books many times. I don't know, they are just like old friends to me.

I prefer hardcovers, they last much longer than a paperback.

I like both. Most of my books are paperbacks, with a few hardcovers. Hardcovers are more expensive.

Hardcover books are nice but don't fit in my purse as well, as I like to take books with me.

I agree with all of these paperback preferences. Paperback is just so much easier to hold with its flexibility and fits into smaller spaces since it bends a little. There is something so satisfying about flipping the pages of a paperback and gently bending back the front cover and pages as you hold it!
