This is a hard one for me. I used to just keep them forever and had dusty textbooks from college courses I dropped sitting on weakening shelves. But now I'm living in a small space and don't have the room so I sell them to the local used bookstore.

If my grandma hasn't read it yet I give it to her. However, if she has read it, then we put it away in a bin we have set aside for all our read books.

I put it back on my bookshelf and move on to the next book.

It depends on the book. If I loved a book I want to share it, so I will loan it out, but people can be so rude about returning books. Since I got my kindle a few years ago I find I don't re-read books as often when I finish them, but if I absolutely love a book I will buy a hard copy and then it gets re-read until it is falling apart.
If I didn't like a book I had a hard copy of- it got donated. If I didn't like it on my kindle, I delete it because it's a waste of space.

It's so hard for me to read a book again because I don't forget the details, so unless I truly loved it, every book is a one time read for me.

I don't have a place in my room to display them, so I put them in a box for safe keeping. I don't let anyone touch my books unless they are responsible with them. Actually, many of my family doesn't even now I read. Sometimes I pull them out to read them again. :-D

I loan them to my daughters, mom, or mother in law. Sometimes my husband or son will read some of the same books I read as well.

I keep all my books on my bookshelf, just in case I ever want to read them again

Most of the time my books go back on the shelf. From time to time I will donate some that I can part with. When I was in college I sold some of my books to newer students. But most of the time I can't let them go.

I keep them
even though I am not the type to re-read a book. I feel connected to a book once I read it and I like to keep it as a memory

I keep my books and store them in boxes under my bed; I also have a large bookshelf, which is 2 books deep on every shelf!! I can't seem to part with them! I recently helped my sister move into a new flat and she had a bag full of books in the hallway, which she told me was for the rubbish!! Well, they've ended up in my house now, because I couldn't bring myself to put them in the bin!! My sis found this highly amusing, but then she knows what I'm like when it comes to books!!

It depends, if it's a book I think my mum will like I'll keep it and give it to her. If it's a book I LOVED i'll keep it on my shelf but if it's one I don't think I'll read again I'll give it to charity.

I think I must have sorted out my books so many times over the years and put books into bags that I don't think I'll read again! With all good intentions they were flagged for the charity shop, but when it came to taking them I couldn't do it!!! So, they ended up back on my bookshelf!

Occasionally if it's a really great book and my friends and family have all read it, I will leave it on a bus or train for someone else to pick up!
