I like to read in bed, partly because I am still doing work up until I fall asleep. Nothing beats being comfortable while reading.

I always think I want to curl up and read in bed, especially on cold nights, but I always forget how hard it is for me to get comfy while reading in bed. I split my lip open a few months ago while trying to read on my back, holding my book up to block the glare of the overhead light- I dropped the book spine-first on my face when my hand got tired. Reading upright in a chair is so much safer, if a bit less warm and cozy.

Reading in bed, arm rested on a pillow and coffee (or wine) near me. However, because I am now sleeping on an awkward couch, it is hard to get that right position.

I love to read in bed. Reading helps me cool down after a long day of learning.

Oh, yes. The only thing is I will stay up hours later than I intended if I do. I get into the story and then I keep telling myself "One more chapter, then I will go to sleep."

It gets too comfortable, so I fall asleep. If I read anywhere else I won't even notice I'm tired until someone knocks on my door and mentions the time.

I'd already answered this thread and said that I actually prefer reading on the couch downstairs rather than in bed. Last night I decided to test this out since I hadn't tried to read in bed for awhile.

It wasn't so great.

I just couldn't get comfortable! Not enough pillows! Too many pillows! Gah!

On my day off most times I will find myself cuddled up in bed with my book while the kiddo is at school. I generally don't read after everyone comes home so reading in bed at night is normally not an option. I get the "What are you read?" from my spouse lol Most times I'll just put the book away and hope he falls asleep before I do so I can get back to it.

I have to read in bed or I can't fall asleep. Usually I start in the bath tub then make it to the bed, but I always end my night with a book in bed.

I am discovering that I am spending quite a bit of time in bed reading. Maybe too much!

I can read in bed for a short time, then start nodding off after a few minutes. When I was younger, I could read for hours in bed. But not any more.
