Occasionally, I'll skip half lines by both accident and intention. As though I can tell exactly what the line will say I will miss it and rarely realise I have done it.
If I fail to understand it, such as some of the geology in The Journey To The Centre Of The Earth I'll choose to skip it rather than be bogged down by something and let it ruin the story. Very rare though!

No, I never skip an entire page while reading. I definitely do not skip chapters. I may skim pages but skipping pages is not an option for me.

I don't like to make a habit of skipping pages but I always myself doing it when a book becomes frustrating to read but I am determined to finish it and find out the ending. I especially skip when I read book 2 in as equal and the authors spends paragraphs upon paragraphs going through stuff already in book 1 then of course I'm skipping!!

I feel like you're not getting the full experience if you skip pages. So, no, I read word for word, and if I feel like I didn't read into it enough, I go back and read it again.

It depends on the book. I have done it when I was uninterested in the dialog. There are some writers that can blow me away with simple word choice but there are others that simply can't hold my interest.

Never. I'd rather not finish a book I'm not enjoying than skip pages.

If I'm reading for fun? Heck no! I read every word in that book. Sometimes my eyes will roam down the page, too excited to wait to get there, but I always pull them back up. The only time I would skip pages or read only a few sentences a page, would be if it is a book for school that I don't want to read or don't have the time.

I usually read every word if it is a fiction book. However, I do have the habit of reading ahead like going towards the end of the book and seeing what happens. i can't seem to break that habit.

Not pages of the actual manuscript. I do know some people who are sticklers for reading the copyright page, the extra pages in the front that have blurbs about the book, the page with the list of the author's other books, the forward and afterward if they exist, etc. I usually skip at least some of that stuff.

I don't usually skip pages altogether, but I have been known to skim through sections. If I find myself doing that a lot, I'm likely to just put the book aside rather than skip ahead though.

Even though I read quite fast, sometimes boring descriptions makes me skip pages.

I feel really guilty when I do it, but if an author is spending five pages describing what a secondary character is having for breakfast then I'm skipping. Or when Patrick Bateman spends sections of American Psycho describing eighties new wave and I came for the gruesome details of his mental murders. It does depend on the book and the writing style, but normally if I'm engaged I'll read every word and repeat beautiful sentences again and again.

Nope. I read cover to cover. Sometimes my eyes wander while I'm reading the end of a chapter, but I never read ahead on purpose. The closest I do to that is reading the end of a book my friend is reading so I can spoil it for them if they give me a need to.
