I do discus books all the time in real life, love every minute of it. My boyfriend is not a reader but he always ask about what I'm reading and lot of the times it gets more in depth then with other readers because I can talk about every single detail because he won't read it no worry about spoilers. My friends and family that are readers talk about books in more of giving each others in depth reviews with a Q&A attached. But I love just talking to anybody including strangers on how and why I love reading!

I love talking about the books I've read, but I can't always find a like-minded audience to listen to me. To be honest, I talk about books with my ten-year-old son more than anyone else. If he really enjoys a book, I read it out of curiousity. Most of the time I like the book, too, and talking about it is a great way to bond with him.

I agree that talking about books is a great bonding experience. It is a way to even get those who are usually kind of quiet to come out of their shell a bit when you talk with them about a book that they really like.

If I know someone is a reader then I will discuss books with that person. Not too many people I know read so it's hard to just start talking about reading.

I discuss reading with friends, or even fellow readers. To me that is the beauty of literature. I love to see the ideas of others as they read the same thing that I read and how they interpret things differently. I think that is awesome and one of the neatest things about art in general.

Almost never, though I would love to. Maybe I should find a reading circle so I can be exposed to more books and start a productive dialogue, something I never get to go outside of college classes. I think I would feel more comfortable in such a setting, too.

Whenever I see friends, the main topic seems to be the latest books. We recommend anything we especially liked, and then we warn each other about anything that disappointed us. for instance, I would tell a friend that I was reading a certain series they had recommended, and they would say "just be careful for the last book. It was horribly written compared to the others." And of course, we speculate on love triangles and relationships that we thought really should have happened by now. it's awesome having friends that read as much as or more than I do!

It is so difficult to imagine people who do not actually read at all. It kind of blows my mind that that can be possible!

Probably all the time. I tell my bf what I am reading about all the time. I also use goodreads and youtube to discuss books.

I don't really discuss books, it's more like I tell people about books even when they don't seem to be interested sometimes. A few people I know read the same types of books that I read and we can discuss the stories. Nothing is better than a good discussion of a great book.

I know right! However I've met so many people that do not read! How crazy is that?! I could not imagine. I'm such a book addict.

Fairly often. I belong to an in-person book club that meets once a month. A few of us also keep in touch during the month to discuss other book recommendations. Also, my mom and aunt are both avid readers, so we discuss books regularly. Luckily, my aunt and I share the same book preferences. My mom, on the other hand, is too much of a book snob and prefers books that have been nominated/won an award and/or been given a good review by her favorite magazine, The New Yorker :)

I love discussing books but I don't have so many friends like me, so I discuss books about maybe once a week
