I loved Charlotte Gray ... IMO a book to be read slowly & savored for the beauty of the writing rather than rushed through to get to the ending. But then I love Sebastian Faulks books and I think I've probably read everything he's written.

Game of Thrones. I had to keep looking in the back of the book to see who was with what house. Tolkien is much easier, even though some people have problems getting through The Silmarillion but I didn't have any issues with it.

I was so excited to read Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley, but just didn't like it. I even tried listening to the audiobook, and skipped ahead to see if I felt like it got better, but no luck. I still feel strange seeing it in libraries and bookstores. With it being so popular, I wonder how differently other people experienced the same book. I couldn't relate to the characters or the plot, and ended up feeling like the book was dragging along.
