Things like the kindle do have their problems but the benefits for me personally outweigh the disadvantages. I never keep any of my books, I have a couple of boxs under my bed which need to be put on Amazon to sell and the book reader takes away all this hassle.
I dont get this smell thing though - whenever I get a new book I dont sit there sniffing it

Plus, I love the smell of books too much, and the feeling of holding them in my hands.

I was skeptical also, because like most of you I love the feel of a book, but it is definitely growing on me. Travel is the best because it is smaller than most hardcover books, and you can keep literally thousands on it. It also makes you want to read, which is weird, since I already read too much, but I fly through pages faster on the tablet it seems.
I will probably still buy books I want to keep, like the classics, but the eBook medium is growing on me.

BUT, I can't take it with me for a long, lazy soak in the tub.
