Self help books are to motivate someone into doing what he or she might be too lazy or ignorant to do to help change his or her life. I like self help books.
If you are having a bad day, let people see that you are having a good day...Spread good vibes, people are going through a lot already. :tiphat:

I've come across some excellent self-help books, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and "Atomic Habits" to mention a few. These books can truly be life-changing when you apply the lessons they impart.

On the other hand, I've also observed that once an expert or influencer begins to gain recognition in the market, they often strive to publish self-help books documenting their success and failures. In this case, I assume it's purely for fame, money, and other benefits.

In order to be a better person, you need to have a good habit and better skills. So, self improvement books will help you to improve in all aspects.

I think they are helpful if for no other reason that to expose me to different perspectives. I've certainly read some that were terrible and way off base, but I've also read some that truly challenged and changed my worldview or my ideas on how to approach a specific situation or challenge.

I struggle with self improvement books because they all feel very repetitive and rarely have new ideas.

I read self improvement books a lot so i can say for a fact that they are worth it. They also raise my spirits when I'm down.

They're not for me. I don't mind some nonfiction but I'm not particularly interested in suggestions how to live my life from such a general perspective. There's nothing about them that holds my interest.
