I rarely read only one at a time. Usually it's at least three.

Me too! One at home, one at work and one in my purse. As long as they are completely different types of books I don't get them confused.

I prefer one at a time, 2 or more can get confusing.

I read more than one book at a time. I find it an easier way to escape reality and into somebody else's world.

I have about 5 or 6 books that I read a little of every now and again, although I have one pre-dominant book.

I usually read one book at a time, but if it's for school I'll read one during school and one at home. I don't usually get confused if I read more than one.

I've tried reading more than one book at a time, and would just get confused over the different plots (mix them up.) So I now read only one book, it's a lot less confusing.

I read two books in the same time, one that I like (favorite author, a reread) and one relatively random.I think it becomes easier to finish than if I take one book at a time.

I read two or three at one time if I can't decide which of my favorites to read first.

Usually but not all the time. Some books I might reserve for a particular location, for example in the car and indoors, others for a particular time, like one book to read during the day and another to be read right before going to sleep. Some of us like to totally immerse ourselves in the worlds of the characters in the book, even thinking about the story when not reading. For these people, one book at a time is the way to go. For others, I say go for it - don't worry about getting muddled up with the books. Our brains can do a lot, you know. Maybe choose books that are of a different genre, format, or author.

One book at a time because otherwise i can't pay attention to neither of the books. It;s like dedicating to one person when you talk to her/him.

I've had up to 8 going at once. I take public transportation so I need to have a lightweight book. I'm given alot of hardcovers as gifts so I read them at home.

I usually read one book at time, sometimes two. One is better because you can focus your whole attention, and don't have to share your time between them, it helps to memorize better a plot.

Wow, 8 books at a time? It seems kind of unreal. And did you managed to focus on any of those 8? Do you remember everyone's story?
