In one of his more recent studies, Perham says, he found that reading while listening to music, especially music with lyrics, impairs comprehension. I usually listen to a song I've heard a bunch of times so I don't get distracted in listening to the words. It's usually pretty low."It wasn't anything to do with classical music or Mozart, it was to do on whether you liked [listening to] something or not."
Or else I listen to some kind of elevator-esque type of music -- it has a Books-A-Million feel in there. (Think about how easy it is to just sit down in a B-A-M chair, relax, and read in the store. It's easy. I think the reason why is because of the relaxing music that just gives you a sense of utmost comfort.
