Always! What else is there to do when you just have to sit there, waiting. I'm definitely not going to start skimming through those magazines that are probably older than I am!

I take a book EVERYWHERE- never travel without one! I feel antsy when I don't have a book or my kindle on me, for just-in-case moments. ;)

Every time! I hate the germ covered magazines and staring people so naturally I bring a book to keep myself busy.

Absolutely last couple of years I've had a lot of appointments. The books kept me sane :)

Yes, I always take a book with me to appointments. Much better to read something I want to read than magazines that are years old!!

I always try to have a book with me if I think I will be waiting somewhere. Trouble is--I'm not very good at predicting when I will need it. It seems to be a rule with me that if I take a book, I won't have time to read it, and if I don't have a book, I will be sitting around waiting for something and wish I had one. One of these days I'll get it right!

Yes! I always have a book, my Nook or my Nook app on my phone. Standing in line is tolerable as long as I have something to read. When my family gets together it is not unusual for all us to be hanging out and all of us have a book in hand. We all have different tastes in books so always have a lot to share about we are reading or what audio book we are listening to. Just never enough time to read!

I prefer not to read in a doctors office. When i am reading something and can not put it down, i wont be paying attention to anyone(including someone calling my name that i am next).

Like a lot of people in this thread, I always have some books with me no matter where I go: on my phone. I do need to get more into the habit of bringing my tablet with me, though. It's much better to read on because of the screen size if nothing else.

I can't count the number of times that phone has saved me from boredom by having some great books on it!

I used to bring a magazine if I thought it would be a short wait but now I always have the kindle app on my phone so I'm never unprepared! Reading a great mystery novel by Liliana Hart right now!

It just depends on the what kind of doctor appointment I'm going to. I always have the kindle app on my phone for emergencies. There has been more than one occasion when I've gotten it out while sitting in the waiting room.
