Oh my! How do you manage all of them together then? I read only one book at a time.

I tend to read only one novel at a time, although I can read several non-fiction books in tandem. I once had three novels on the go, Martin Amis's London Fields, Dickens's Hard Times, and David Lodge's Nice Work. In the end I went with Nice Work.

I read in large chunks so juggle 2 or 3 books at a time to prolong the experience.

I prefer reading one book at a time if it's a fiction book. But I can read a fiction book and non-fiction book at the same time, that doesn't bother me

no no no no... I can't read more than one book at a time. I get confused and can't stick to the plot.

Many years ago I got in the habit of reading two books at a time with one being a non-fiction work-related book and the other a book I enjoyed. When I quit working I continued reading two with one being my in-home book and one being my going-out book. The older I get the more reading I get done in the bathroom.

I try to stick with one at a time because I do get confused when reading too many, but I have read a max of 3 at one time.

For me it's a little difficult, once i start reading, i want to finish the book as soon as possible. Because i can't wait to know what happen in the end. If i read more than one book at the same time, the desire to know the result will be broken.

I usually read more than one book at a time, but it kind of bothers me. Usually when I'm reading a book I feel like I'm rushing through it when there is another book waiting to be started. So I always just end up reading both throughout the day.

i usually borrow more than one books, but i just read one at a time. because i read very slow. if the book is borrowed from the library, usually, i just can finish one book before the deadtime i give back the library, so i decide i will borrow one at most two books ar a time, even if i borrow too many, i still can not finish them .

I definitely only read one at a time. I find that I get much more involved in the story if I devote my time to only one, and even find myself thinking about the plot when I am not reading. Every time I read more than one book at a time, I tend to not be "into" the story as much, and having multiple stories going at once seems to make them less real.

I try not to, so that I can give my full attention to only one book. It takes me about a day to finish a book [500 pages top], so I can read a lot of books on the weekend, for example.

this just dilutes the affect of each book
I love your choice of words. I couldn't have described it better :)
