Books series vs Standalone books

I love great books, it does not really matter to me whether it is a stand-alone or a series.

It depends on the book. Either of them is fine with me. Book series might be too long to read at times.

I like to read series more often. Because it keeps me going and stirs my interest on what happens next. Mostly, I get distracted and take a long time to pick the next book once I finish reading one. So, if it's a series, I do not have the patience to know the ultimate end and that's how I keep reading more. Books like the Hunger Games Trilogy are the perfect example.

I have an addiction to book series. I try not to read them much because if I begin a book series I don't sleep until I've read them all. Especially if I bought them all at once (or someone gifted them to me).

I love book series! Especially for a fantasy, which is my favourite genre. I enjoy going back and reading about my favorite characters in sequels. Bonus if the pov changes in between books.
Standalones are good too, but I can only get invested in them if they hit at least a 350 page mark. Otherwise the storyline is usually too simple for my taste, unless it's a horror or non-fiction.

Standalones offer some originality but they may also be below average in terms of content if the author is an novice. On the other hand, in a series I am assured of a thrill. so basically I would tend to lean towards series books.

There’s nothing wrong with a good stand-alone book but I’m a little obsessive by nature so I love a good book to keep going with future installments! There are some series that will never have enough books to make me happy!

I don't usually seek out a series but if an author publishes a new book that is a sequel to one I love, I will get sucked into ready any and all they publish after that.

So far, I rarely choose book series. I prefer standalone books because once I finish reading them, I feel satisfied with it.

Hard to choose, many of my favorite books are part of a series I love. I love the whole building aspect and full picture of characters you get in a series, but a well done stand alone is so impactful.

I would choose book series. The idea of an amazing book being continued really makes my day. After all, no one wants a good thing to end.

I prefer standalone books. Sometimes it is very difficult to get all the books in a series or get them in the order I want if I am borrowing from the library and I find that quite annoying. So I tend to borrow (or buy) standalone books.
