I think romeo and Juliet by Williams Shakespeare. It's a very popular book.

A book that really moved me was The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Its portrayal of love and loss during such a tumultuous time left me deeply touched. I usually don't cry while reading, unlike when I watch a sad movie.

The most recent book I read that made me cry is titled Hero by Danielle Bouthillier. I went from wow that’s sad, too… :crying-blue: :crying-blue: :crying-blue: :crying-blue: :crying-green: :crying-green: :crying-green: :crying-green: :crying-blue: The main characters had to overcome so much and I felt for them. I might cry just thinking about it now.

I'm pretty much cry at almost every emotional scene in the books that I ever read. But I cried the most reading 'Bintang Hati' by Riley Fizan. It's a malay romance book but ended with a tragedy. It was my first time reading where the male lead died so unjustified. I was crying the whole day after reading that. Unfortunately, there's no English version of that novel.

Ihad a couple tears at the end of the book "Adrift" by Charlie Sheldon. The main character of the story nearly died, and it was quite a dramatic scene.
I am an avid reader. I typically read 1-2 books per week. I enjoy a wide array of genres including Sci Fi, Action/Thriller, and Historical Fiction.

As a geologist and christian, I also particularly enjoy books on science and faith.

That would be at least half the books I read, I guess, because when it's not the author ending one of my favorite characters's lives, there's bound to be occasions of tears of joy.
But the book I remember that had me most upset was Mockingjay, the third book in the Hunger Games series. I loved the love story between Peeta and Katniss, but the way the author chose to erase Peeta's memories of Katniss in the story was just plain cruel. I believe memories are what make us ourselves, and to take those away... It felt their bond way snatched away, and to even imagine Katniss's pain and how Peeta didn't even know what he lost was very hurtful.

The last book that made me cry was Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson. One of the main characters, Kaladin, is depressed and receives some lovely advice from another character about pressing forward. As someone who also has mental health struggles, it really spoke to me. I don't usually cry at books, but this one touched me.

The Apple Orchard made me tear up a little, and even though it's a horror, The Rats. It's the death of the dog protecting his little human that got me ugly crying.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was a beautiful book, well written, and definitely brought tears to my eyes.
