If I am to choose between a boring book I mean the most boring book in the world and horror book. You know I will go for the boring book. I have nightmares from horror books.
If you are having a bad day, let people see that you are having a good day...Spread good vibes, people are going through a lot already. :tiphat:

I steer clear of non-fiction books because I don't like real life stories since that I'm in a real life. I want a world that I never thought existed but in the author's mind

Horror and gothic novels.

Why would I want to read a book and get scared to sleep at night?

I usually steer clear of biographies and autobiographies. I just don't find them interesting, even if its about the most famous or popular person in the world.

Historical fiction is something I am not too keen on. I usually stay away. However I don't like war stories at all. I also hate light n fluffy candy floss romances; they make me gag.

I stay clear of non fiction and historical fiction. I simply don't like those genres.

I stay clear of satanic, jacobean styled novels that are hard to get through, like Hawksmoor. Thankfully there aren't many so that's simple to do.

I avoid Erotica and most Romance (except Classics), Horror, Sci-fi, Magic Realism, most YA and Fantasy. They do not capture my interest. My time is better spent immersing myself in books I am besotted with. Thankfully that still means loads of other genres!

I steer clear of fantasy and young adult genres.

Young adult works don't appeal to me anymore like they did when I was younger. When I do try to read a YA novel I find myself annoyed at the characters and find the themes to be immature.

Fantasy has never been my favorite genre. I find that fantasy is mostly world-building and descriptions of setting and I find it boring and hard to picture in my head.

Completely agree. I work at a rape crisis center and deal with real-life issues every single day, so I find myself steering clear of non-fiction because I find it too dense and heavy for a relaxing read.

As many have said already on this post, YA novels. They just don't resonate with me, especially the ones with romance. Anything too... sensual also doesn't work with me either– it's just not what I'm reading for.

I don't necessarily dislike romance (not anymore, at least), but I am very critical of it. I have no personal interest in my life for romance, so if I am going to have to read it, it has to be very good for me to like it.
