Yes, I think it's rude to interrupt someone who's reading, unless it's for something important.

Yes, I think it is extremely rude especially if you're going to tell them something very pointless.
The only time you interrupt someone when they're reading is if it's an emergency I guess.

Absolutely. It drives me crazy when I get interrupted while I'm reading, because it's usually for no good reason. However, I do agree that if it's important then I wouldn't mind so much.

Definitely rude, unless there's a legitimate reason. I personally hate to be interrupted when I'm reading.

It depends on whether it's done politely or rudely

I don't mind really, I think if I am reading in public or around people than interruptions are inevitable. Also if someone interrupts you they either need something or want to be with you, not someone with a head stuck in a book.

I love reading. But not at the expense of others. A book can always be put down and re-opened. Memories, however cannot be remade, and you never know when or with who those memories are to be created.

I think its rude, since we are having our own conversion with the book. I mean there has to be a reason why we read at least to be in an another universe. Is like people texting or having a communication head to head i think sits the same thing.

It really is. Reading should never be interrupted ever. Whenever I am in any book whether good or bad I feel extremely annoyed when someone disturbs me. Though I suppose I am at fault too over here considering the fact that I tend to completely block out everything when i read and many people feel ignored because of that. But I stay by my point that it is very very rude to interrupt anyone while they are reading.

I'm amazed that there are so many people who find interruption while reading to be *always* rude! If I'm reading something and need to not be interrupted, I'd say so. That's probably the case if I'm reading for work. But when reading for pleasure, I don't mind being interrupted, even if for something unimportant. It's like watching TV or reading an article online to me.

I do feel it's rude to interrupt someone while they are reading. However, as a mom, I'm often interrupted so while I wouldn't do it to others, it doesn't bother me terribly when someone does it to me.
