Pack of playing cards. 52+ bookmarks for a couple of bucks.

They're durable, a good size, and you can just keep the pack on your bookshelf for whenever you need a new one.

What a nice idea! But I hardly ever read 2 or 3 books at once, so I'd have no need for 52 bookmarks...

I find I am constantly without a bookmark. While I have a few bookmarks that I really like, more often than not I use a scrap piece of paper, a sticky note or anything that will fit between the pages.

I have a small pile of bookmarks that I will use, mainly to match to the cover of the book. My favorite is for reading manga, from the first time I ever bought something online (from justmanga.com, I think). It's black and reads simply "Got Manga?" like the milk ads of the same concept. Of course, I beat myself up because I accidentally sat on it once so now it has a crease that bugs me. Still, that would be my favorite.

I have quite a few bookmarks. I have one that is a strip of material with a bead attached to the top end, and the others are those metal bookmarks that a flat and curve over the spine of the book. I've often used bits of paper too.

Normal bookmarks (thick paper or thin carton) - I have more than enough. I usually get them free from the bookshop when buying a book. My kids also made some for me in the past (plastified so they last). I NEVER EVER fold the top corner of a page or leave the book open face down.

Currently, I'm using a plain old cardstock bookmark with some wolves on it and a pawprint charm on the end. It's really cute and I quite like it but its usual for me because generally, I loose my bookmarks fairly quickly and then I use whatever is lying around...a piece of paper, a tissue, mail, ect.

Since I read multiple books at the same time I use quite a few. I have a few like a Queen's Silver jubilee one and gift ones from holidays that people have bought me. A lot of the time though I just use the receipt from Amazon that came with the book.

When I read a book I use whatever I have on hand as a bookmark. I have used receipts, rubber bands, pictures, ect. :) but mostly it's anything I can grab that is close to me when I have to stop.

man I have never heard of using a paper clip! What a wonderful idea! Remembering the paragraph I stopped at is my issue definitely! I always have to re read the page or skim through it to find out which part I don't remember and that's where I figure I ended lol.

I don't use bookmarks. I simply take breaks at the end of the chapters and note the chapter I left off at.
