Now, as a teenager, I still enjoy reading. When both my mom and I have time, we still like to sit on the couch and read together. Adventure books are still one of my favorite genres, but I have also become fond of mystery and crime-solving books, thanks to my mom’s book recommendations. Some of my favorite authors include James Patterson, John Green, and Suzanne Collins. I look at reading as an “escape” from the real world, even if just for a while. I feel like a good book takes your mind, heart, and soul on an adventure. I am excited to start this journey and further my reading experience!

I've completed it every year up until tenth grade when it ended. I got three awards for it. I've always loved reading and telling stories.

I thought the same thing with that book.Karen M wrote:My family traveled quite a bit when I was growing up. It was on a trip to Canada wilderness that my mother introduced me to Gone with the Wind. I initially looked at the book and thought, "Never." It was thick, there were no pictures, but the other option was to go out in the boat fishing. Reading that classic was a golden experience...I'm not a reading teacher!
