I voted for mystery, realistic fiction, and historical fiction because those would probably be the top three genres I read, but I have pretty eclectic tastes. I wouldn't choose or reject a book based on the genre so I've read books from a lot of genres. To me, the writing and the author is more important than the genre.

I prefer genres pretty far from reality :) . I get enough real life drama with the type of work I do, and prefer to "escape" when I read.

I love horror and it's probably my favourite genre but other then that, I'll read anything! I really am not picky when it comes to books because I really just love a good story.

I chose thriller, romance (I'm a sucker for a good love story), and humor. I think humor is the toughest to achieve, but when done well, is well worth reading!

Mystery will always be at the top of my list. But still, I don't really zero in on the genre every time I shop for books.

Fantasy and romance are my top two with crime following (which i guess falls under thriller/mystery). I'm surprised romance is so low down the ratings, actually. Most people would term it one of the most popular genres.
