That is an interesting way !aruntr2001 wrote: ↑04 Jul 2020, 15:23 I would surf for the new books in the market and also keep reading the recommendations as well as the feeds of there other book enthusiasts. And that's how I would get to decide on what to read next.

That is such a wonderful way. Hope you find more good authors.Bigwig1973 wrote: ↑30 Aug 2020, 01:25 As a child, I always used to pick books if they had an animal on the cover, in the illustrations, or if it was evident that it was an animal book. I thought John Steinbeck's The Red Pony was going to be more like My Friend Flicka and so I was disappointed. Then later I learned that Steinbeck was a fantastic author and I was like "Oh no!!!" I also used to read books that my parents had and from them, I learned author names. I also learned author names from short story collections. So, then I would just pick books by author. Now, I feel that I have ignored female writers (most of the books my parents had were written by men) so if I didn't have a lot of books to read already, then I would probably try to find some good female authors. Otherwise, I still have the list of good authors.

That is amusing. I hope you get the time to read all the books.Robert Potter wrote: ↑30 Aug 2020, 13:09 Usually one of two ways. I have already bought way more books than I'll ever have time to read, and I'm always buying more. Additionally, I'll scroll through Amazon or Bookshop.org and look at covers or descriptions that might catch my eye. A lot of times I'm choosing by the title or cover.

That's great.lavenderbooks20 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 03:40 From recommendations by my friends. Sometimes, I just browse on goodreads; I look at the ratings and read some reviews.
