Wondering if anyone can help me find a book.

Post by novastar »

Im new here, and am still checking out whats what in the forums, and was wondering if anyone could help me find a book I read once about 10 years ago.
The problem is, I don't remember the name of the book, the author, or even much of what its about.
I do remember the cover quite clearly,

The cover has a person, standing on top of a dumbbell shaped space ship, holding a sword, pointing it at the constellation Cygnus.

I was a sci-fi/fantasy novel, published most likely in the late 80's, early 90's

One other thing I remember about it, which is pretty distinct, is, at the end of the book, in the appendices, there was the quickbasic source code for a game based on the book.

I know it is a long shot, but this book is driving me insane. I have been through almost every book in the local used book stores, spent hours searching for it on google, asked everyone I know, and I am not finding anything.
I know the book exists, and I hope at least one of you have read it.

Thank you for your time and help, and I'll be seeing you around the forums.

Welcome to our little book club haha nice to see a new face!

As for your ordeal, I'm sorry, I have absolutely no clue what book it could be. You did note the appendix and something about video game codes... it might help you to search video games, too... Hope that helps in anyway!
