This Is just out of curiosity. Have you ever felt that the book you read years ago and that has been your favourite ever since, is suddenly replaced for another?

Yes this has just recently happened to me because I just read the most amazing book on the planet but who knows this one might be replaced too but i am also at a very young age so my favorite book 2 years ago when I was still in elementary was quite juvenile and short so yes this happens quite often and not to be rude but I don't know how this changes when you get "older"

Happy to year that coming from such a young person!

It never really happened to me, since I never really had a favourite book. But it crossed my mind when I was asked this very same question.

I really don't even have a favorite book. I am constantly reading and my favorites are constantly changing.

I don't think I would ever change my mind between two books that I've already read, but it makes sense to read a new book and have it become my favorite. What's the point of reading if there's no chance of finding something more amazing than you're favorite book? I do tend to have a problem though, where I'm hesitant to read any book that hasn't been personally recommended to me, because I don't want to spend time reading a book that I don't actually like.

My favorites are always changing. There's nothing better than reading a new favorite book.

All the time. My favorite book is usually the one I am reading at the time.

It might sound neurotic but i cannot choose a favorite book. Before
college I always had a favorite and had no doubt it was the best. But
in this last year I have so read I just want to list them all. What's your
favorite book? is a hard question to answer. I feel it changes with my mood.
I want people to ask which genre?

Well, seriously, I have waayyy too many books I love to pick out a single favorite! But yes sometimes, the list alters a teensy bit, but not by much.

Yes, some of my old favorites still hold a place in my heart but they have been replaced at the top of my list by a few newer books.

I agree with all of your answers. Favourites do change as long as you keep your mind open. When I was asked for this very same question, it took me a hard time to get an answer, since I had never really thought about it. It's just, that sometimes it's a bit hard to confess that the book you loved so much years or even decades ago, no longer holds that title: it feels like you're betraying it.
