In middle school, I finished a book in 2 hours. Since adulthood, I have read several of Richard Paul Evans' books in a few hours.

Every once in a while I will read a book that I get so caught up in that I finish reading it in a matter of 2-4 hours.

I finished Black Beauty in a day when I was in third grade. It's one of the books that got me hooked on reading for life. Many other books followed that book-a-day reading when I was younger. Now that I'm an adult, I like taking my time more, and I try to stretch out books for a longer period of time.

I can easily finish books in an hour or two, if they're not too bulky. Artemis Fowl is an easy one to finish quickly, I just read the second book in the series a few days ago, and it didn't take more than two hours. But some books are meant to last a week or more, either because they have a lot of content, or a lot of texture.

Mine was the last book in the twilight series Breaking Dawn. I finished it in 2 ½ hours. I am a speed reader as is my daughter so she finished it faster than I did.

For the average book of 200 pages it takes 2 or 3 hours. I don't remember what my all time fastest read was.

I am a fast read generally. The least amount of time it took me to read a full length novel was an hour and a half.

The fastest would be a few hours to a day, depending on the length of the book. I usually prefer taking my time, though.
