I was about 11/12 when I found my love for books, how old were you?

I went to a private elementary school, and had to be interviewed in order to attend Kindergarten. At the interview, I said that I wanted to go to school so that I could learn to read. I thought that just by showing up I would magically be able to read, LOL.

It was a couple of years later that I read my first chapter book, so I was 7 or 8 when I really got hooked.

I was seven or eight when I first fell truly in love with books. I read Black Beauty in one day when I was in third grade and realized how much I adored reading. The very act of having a book in my hands seemed to make life perfect. I haven't been able to live without books in my life since then.

I was about nine or ten when I found my love of books and the desire to read has never decreased.

20 y/o just 2 months ago

I was about 14, the first book I ever read outside of school was The Forbidden Game by L.J. Smith. I been in love with reading since.

I was about 6-7 when I started to develop a love for reading.

I should about 9-10. I loved reading greek mythology and julεs verne books. But then at high school i stopped reading to concentrate on school exams. i resumed reading after university and i never stopped since then.

I as long as I can remember because my parents read to me, but I have to say that when I truly loved reading was the summer my dad and I read "Little Women" out loud together, I was 9 all most 10. I remember us both crying too. Best reading memory ever for me!

From the moment I learned to read. I remember being in Kindergarten, and reading road signs aloud as my family passed by.

I started reading pretty early. I was a bit of an introvert, so reading came only naturally to me. But, after middle school, my social life had begun to pick up. As a result, I could not devote enough time to reading books. Now, as a high school graduate, I feel that I should start reading books again. That is why I became a member of this site. After all, it isn't everyday that you get free books to read.

I was about 8 or 9. I remember being so bored that I picked up a book and discovered that I could escape whenever I turned a page.

In elementary school I would read upwards of 5 hours daily, but it wasn't until I was about 11 or 12 when I read Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut that I really got inspired and loved the book I was reading.

I was about 7-8 when I found my real love in the form of books and I know that they are not going to deceive me throughout my whole life.
