Would you rather read the book first or watch the movie first?

I would rather read the book first.

I enjoy both, but find I am often disappointed if I watch the movie first.

I always read the book first.

I'd love to read the book first before watching the movie. I love the "Oh that happened " moment.

It totally depends. Some movies make me want to read the book, while some books put me off the movie.

Sometimes I won't be able to finish the book while I love the movie (Jack Reacher film vs it's book counterpart) and other times I love both either separately or together (Jurassic Park and Angels and Demons).

tldr; it really depends on which I found out about first.

Books are spiritual, movies are just occasional fun, so books.

I would read the book first before watching the movie. Once I watch a movie it's hard to get around reading the book.

books for sure. Movies tend to gloss over emotions mostly.

I prefer reading the book first because it is where the original plot comes from. I have made peace with the thought that the movie version has a higher tendency to stray away from the original storyline.

Oh please, i could never watch a movie without reading the book first. Movies just seems lacking :<
