What Is Your Book Club Reading?

Post by Gravy »

Just what the title says: what is your book club reading?
It can be monthly, or seasonally, whatever.

Also, how do you choose your book club books? Is there a theme?

I'm really curious.

One of mine is reading The Last Flight by Julie Clark for September. We basically all nominate and then vote. No theme.

(Others haven't chosen yet.)
Pronouns: She/Her

Flower book club my wife and I choose the titles because it works best for our group of people we seem to be more in tune to the book world and what should be an engaging read for discussion.

We follow a bi-monthly system, and so the book for this month is The Information by James Gleick

I created a book club at my work and we are currently reading Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers. Honey Girl is about a new Ph.D. graduate who has always been the A+ student, best daughter, and unproblematic individual who finds herself with a hangover and a wife that she doesn't know. She must figure out what to do about her new stranger wife while also figuring out the answer to her biggest question "what do I want to do with my life?".

So far it is really cute, funny, and relatable!

The Last Flight is SO good and gripping! I finished it earlier this year and was shocked by how much I loved it.

Wine. I’m kidding! I haven’t been in a book club lately because of some physical problems but this question makes me think of a book club that my mother joined that ended up just being a place to go and drink wine. I seem to remember they gave up the books eventually. That made me laugh.
