Have you ever read a book more than once? :techie-studyingbrown:

I had never done it. Still, a week ago I found a book I read about 5 years ago, I started rereading it, paying attention to the quotes I had underlined before and it helped me remember and understand what I was going through at that time in my life and what made me highlight those quotes. When I finished the book it gave me a bit of nostalgia but I also comprehended it and appreciated the words differently.

I would like to hear your opinion about rereading books, do you tend to do it or not, and why?

I love rereading my favorite books! It’s wonderful to enter a favorite world again and visit with my favorite characters.

Books of poetry, light novels, manga, psychology books, and parenting books are the types of books I can read multiple times as needed.

I reread books ALL the time! Usually I only reread a book once, but there’s a few I’ve read 3 times. Typically it’s to get ready for new release in a series and refresh my memory, but sometimes nothing new is catching my attention and I don’t want to read nothing so I read a book that’s popped into my mind the most lately.

Yep, I've read The Lord of the Rings about six times! Last re-read was shortly after Peter Jackson's movies first started to come out. I first read it in college, but it was so huge that I almost gave up on it and had to buy Return of the King in one of my local used bookstores (I don't know about any of you, but I hate to be left hanging, meaning not knowing how it all turns out). I've also read Jurassic Park a few times, but The Lost World only once. Perhaps I just couldn't get into it and plan to re-read it soon (hopefully before the next movie comes out, since some scenes that are rumored might be right out of the book, since the film adaptation didn't include it).

I read and reread books. Rereading is a fascinating activity. I feel so surprised to observe and relish things that I missed on the first reading. Some ideas and characters in the book do not reveal them on their first reading. You only explore them when you show your loyalty to them, when you spend considerable time with them. For me, reading a book many times, is more appealing because it's richness and aesthetic appeal is doubled on every read.

I reread almost every book that I enjoy. If I really enjoy a book, or the ending is so vastly different from the beginning, I often reread a book immediately after finishing it. But usually I’ll wait until I don’t really remember much more than the overall premise. I like new books but the familiarity of knowing I’m going to definitely enjoy reading something is very relaxing. It feels like reconnecting with an old comfortable friend.

I love rereading books! It's comforting. I have a few favorites I always circle back to. One of my all time favorites to reread is Lakeshire Park by Sarah Walker.
