When the book is over...

Hello Readers,
my name is Francesco and this is my very first post here!
I wanted to ask if I am the only one who feels a strange feeling of "emptiness" when a book is over, right after the initial "fulfillment" fades.
I am a "dog-ear" person and I like marking pages that I really liked, or underlying specific phrases/words... and every time I take an old book, I am surprised by how much I like those "dogeared pages", but at the same time I managed to forget them.
It seems like there are just a few takeaways I bring with me forever for every book, especially after reading many of them.
Just curious to know if anyone else is feeling the same, or in other creative ways
Cheers,
Francesco
