Art vs Title

What draws you to a book you've never heard of? Is it the cover art? The title? Something else entirely? Which is more influential?

I saw a book with a cool cover today, so I picked it up to look at. I don't even remember the title because the art was just so interesting.

I think the cover of a book gives more impression to the reader than the topic/ title because the title can be boring but the outer cover is appealing to the readers.

The cover says it all., I would say the cover grabs the reader attention, and that in return causes the reader to pickup the book.

I certainly have a bad habit of "judging a book by its cover". If a book has a beautiful cover, I instantly want to read. It is why I read the book Boy, Snow, Bird by Helen Oyeyemi.

Of course, I still always read descriptions and take the recommendations of my friends seriously.
Strangely, sometimes the last paragraph a book will be the biggest selling factor to me.

Both art and title are good things to look out for, but now I can't give a verdict about the better that attracts my attention the more.

I will buy a book based on the cover before ever reading what it's about. I've done that with the last few books I've bought. If it's eye catching, I'll buy it.

A fun title can make me pick up a book, but I'm still influenced by the cover - if the cover is poorly put together (title or author is hard to read, cover art uninspiring, so on) I might have to look for a different edition or wait to read it until I read some glowing reviews about the book.

For me, it's both the art and title that gets my attention. I do also check the blurb often, but this is only after the cover has got my attention enough for me to pick up the book.
I think the art is slightly more influential, as I tend to notice this first and then read the title. But, if the title doesn't interest me I may not pick the book up, so they're both important in my eyes :)

I always read the inside flap, but titles will always draw me. Pictures can lie but words cannot.

The art work especially if it's a romance novel. The hotter the better

For me, the cover art doesn't alone attracts me much. Title is more important. And, I always go for contents and summary, if I get one.

I find the cover art catches my eye, then the title and description determine whether I read it or not :)

Cover art is more appealing to me. If it looks like a book report, I'm not picking that up. However a beautiful cover with an enticing title, that gets my blood pumping!

A really nice cover attracts me straight away. However, I will read the blurb and if it sounds interesting i'll get it but if it doesn't I am secretly disappointed haha

The art is what grabs me! That's how I know if it's going to be a good book :)
