Coffee, absolutely. It helps keep me awake into the wee morning hours to finish whatever novel I'm reading.

I've found that I have to have something caffeinated while I read. I don't have the best eye sight so reading sometimes make my eyes very heavy. I like to drink coffee or cappuccino during colder months, and iced tea during the summer.

If reading high fantasy, I tend to go for tea (as, otherwise, I'd be drinking ale and spend most of my time whilst reading intoxicated). I've done this since I was around 8 years old when I first began reading The Belgariad by David Eddings. Something about adventurers subsisting on nothing but cheese, dried meat and tea, ale or simply water led my young mind to dub this combination (usually using bacon instead of dried meat or jerky if I could convince my parents at the time) "adventuring food." To this day I still crave some sort of tea when reading high fantasy. The type of tea mostly depends on what I have on hand. Other books, I settle for coffee since it's my default beverage of choice anyway!

Without any doubt, it is iced coffee. The iced coffee only enhances my reading.

I enjoy a good cup of coffee almost anytime I am reading but also in the summer I like "peach" tea.

I'm actually not allowed to drink while I read any library books, but I sneak in some good old water sometimes.

I love to have hot chocolate or tea in the winter or an iced chai in the summer.
