What is the weirdest, most unsual ingredient you've used in baking? I have used beer and mayoneese in a cake recipe I saw on tasty's youtube channel. Has anyone ever tryed it?

It is butter. There's a rare kind of butter that my cousin used to have. It was interesting back then.

Sauerkraut in chocolate cake. I didn’t cook it myself. It was at a restaurant. It was one of the best chocolate cakes I have ever had, super dense, rich, and extremely moist. Couldn’t taste the sauerkraut at all but it was in there, I could see the pieces of grated sauerkraut.

I once baked a chocolate cake with cauliflower as one of the ingredients. Just like the recipe said, I couldn't tell that anything was different. The cake really was good, and I felt good about getting another veggie in my diet!

One unusual yet delightful recipe I've explored is a lavender-infused honey and goat cheese tart. The floral notes of lavender add a unique touch to the sweet and savory combination.

I once used herb-infused oil to bake cookies. The cookies came out a bit crumbly, but they tasted great overall.

I once used Milo for my pancakes. It was really great.
