Game of Thrones Inconsistencies

Post by Sarah Freer »

Between reading the books and watching the series you can pick out so many inconsistencies that sometimes it is to distracting from the show or book depending on which order you saw or read them in. I can pick apart not only looks and ages of characters but also ones that are missing, names changed, and actions or dialogue given that either wasn’t done in either the book or series. Also some characters do something in the television series that other characters did in the books.

I think it's important to remember that the film/TV adaptation of a book is always going to be different from the source material simply because they're created on two different mediums.

Now, that being said, there were inconsistencies in the actual show from season 1 to season 8 and that's inexcusable and sloppy writing on the show writers part. I was very disappointed with season 8. :(

As much as I liked the tv series I'm glad I never read the books. There is just so much to keep up with and I'm impressed you were able to pick out so many differences.

I found the first book was very close, the second was fairly close but after that they completely seperated and seemed like completely different stories just with the same characters
