Your selection of movies are very good. I have watched most of these movies and they are really good. If I can add some books to this list are- Unforgiven,Invictus,Unthinkable, 12 Angry men etc. These may not necessarily be movies with satisfactory endings, however, one can enjoy it to the fullest..

I will have to check those out - thank you for the recommendations! As to my taste being "very good", I must confess that at least four of the films listed were recommendations - I know some folks with very good taste, I suppose. Leaving me still about 66% very good, which is not failing, but is a C- in scary movie taste - I'm not sure how I feel about that!

That's better, I hope!

Catch Me If You Can has a very satisfying ending. It is also based on a true story.

I really like the ending to Arrival. I liked how the story unfolded and how the puzzle pieces were intertwined throughout until the end. It was unexpected and extremely well executed.

"The Shawshank Redemption." It’s a story of hope and friendship with a deeply satisfying conclusion. I was skeptical at first while watching but once I understood what really happened, I was satisfied.

Thats a good one, but I think that its too much blood for a lot of people. Sorry to butt in but I'm thinking, Cube (movie), and Lost (TV Show), mashed together could pull something better than Squid game. I dunno, just figured haha
