I always do this! I never see a movie before reading it's book version first!

In an ideal world, I'd read the book before watching the movie. But, to be honest, I've broken the rule several times, watched the movie, then read the book (and then kicked myself for watching the movie first, too)!

Book first, film later. The film spoils too much, especially the imaginative aspect of the story. By reading the book first, I can formulate my own perspective and mental picture of the characters, the landscape, and the scenarios described in the book. Watching the movie first spoils this experience.
