I would say that I think I love both. It's hard for me to decide what's best with things like this sometimes, but if I had to pick, I'd go for the former

This was one of those cases where I thought the movie did justice to the book, and it's hard to pick one over the other, though I usually prefer the book. Having said that, Cassandra Clare's book was good with its story-telling and characterization.

Definitely the books. I could not stand the casting in the show. None of them looked close to how I imagined in my mind!
